Meet theOddballs

Oddball Marketing is a small marketing studio in Roseville, Minnesota, built for businesses that need a little bit of everything: a website that works, a store that sells, emails that get opened and ads that move product.

Over the past decade that's meant helping run B2C programs for outdoor, apparel and retail brands, plus work for manufacturers and startups. The job is the same everywhere: make it look good, make it easy to buy, and tell the right people about it.

Why "Oddball"? Because "Studio That Does a Bit of Everything Marketing" didn't fit on the logo.

Off theClock

I graduated from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management in 2018 with degrees in marketing and entrepreneurship, plus a semester abroad in Sydney, Australia that left me with a lasting travel bug. These days I call Roseville home with my girlfriend Nina and our border terrier, Ash, who supervises most of my work from the couch when he isn't lobbying for one more game of fetch.

When I'm not helping businesses grow, you'll usually find me outside, depending on the season: fishing, ice fishing, hiking, road-tripping or soaking up Minnesota lake life. Indoors, it's video games, history rabbit holes, arts and crafts, and caring for more house plants than one person probably needs. I'm rarely without a camera, especially when there are plants or animals around.

I grew up on the 2000s and 2010s internet, so I know how to make a brand feel fun without sounding like a "how do you do, fellow kids" meme or a press release from 1998. I can also quote most of Napoleon Dynamite. It hasn't come up in a client project yet, but I'm ready.
